Apart from limited extensions, this "Conference Hotel" run by Deutsche Ring insurance company on the Lüneburg Heath had not been modernized since being built in the 1960s. Urgently required conversions and refurbishments to the inside and outside of the hotel were carried out in 2008 in the record time of 16 weeks. The building measures comprised almost the entire interior furnishings. All the surfaces in about 120 rooms, 12 conference rooms, and the whole catering section were first stripped down and then fully reconstituted. 115 new rooms were individually developed with an exclusively produced furnishing line.
