Kreuzweg, Hamburg

The first cross-connection between the current districts of St. Georg and Hammerbrook, which crossed the former country road to Wandsbek, was built around 1800. Today it captivates with its urban multicultural street scene, which is typical for this part of St. Georg. The street was broadened considerably in 1972, which unfortunately led to the anonymisation of this small street. The urban planning goal is to close a gap in the buildings that has been there for decades, and with this measure to restore the block edge development.
An eight-storey residential and commercial building with 28 maisonettes and apartments is planned.
