Charles de PicciottoArchitekt BDA

Jürgensallee, Hamburg

In Hamburg a large number of single-family detached houses were built in the 1950s and 1960s. In many cases these buildings no longer meet state-of-the-art standards of comfort or legal requirements for conserving energy.
A corresponding reinforcement of all structural elements and careful integration of the original fabric into a new architecture made it possible to double the floor area within the existing zoning map, while also fulfilling all demands for modern living.
