To further integrate Hamburg’s growing HafenCity district, transport access to the new building sites is to be extended and optimized. One of the busiest main roads is also in need of a bridge over Brooktor canal, one of the many waterways in the new district. Using graphic displays, the design concept explores the correspondences between the site’s past and present. With this symbolic bridge across history, the city’s dynamic growth and change is frozen for a moment of remembrance.
