Bavaria-Gelände Hamburg

Once the site of the former Bavaria brewery was cleared, the area crowning the harbor high above the Landungsbrücken became available for redevelopment and building. The design concerns four residential buildings on the boundary of St. Pauli, conceptually echoing the district’s character. In a clear-cut but random progression, four buildings, each with the same construction volume, assume entirely different forms. The concept allows for mixed residential use in accordance with market demand.
